Rhodia supplies a range of patented biocidal products based upon the active substance, THPS (Trade Mark Tolcide® PS2) for use in industrial water treatment, paper manufacture and oil production. Rhodia is the only company pursuing a registration for THPS according to the requirements of the EU Biocidal Products Directive. Tolcide® PS based products are used as slimicides in the papermaking industry and Rhodia has obtained listings for THPS for use in the manufacture of food contact paper and board from the FDA (USA) and BfR (Germany).
