Rhodia's patented product, Tolcide® PS75, was first introduced into the North Sea oil industry during the 1980's as a water injection biocide for the control of SRB (Sulphate Reducing Bacteria). The Tolcide® PS range was used in secondary with oil recovery, where its potency in controlling SRB (Sulphate Reducing Bacteria) in sea water injection systems and top-side separation equipment was seen as a major benefit for oil producing companies. The Tolcide® PS range Focuses on controlling SRB, VFA that otherwise contribute to malodours including hydrogen sulphide.
